    The 1,811 graduating Tar Heels had the chance at Winter Commencement on Dec. 15 to celebrate their achievements and all that went into earning a degree during their time in Chapel Hill.

A touch of snow

For the first time in three years, measurable snowfall transformed the always beautiful Carolina campus into a winter wonderland. Tar Heels enjoyed the conditions, sledding around campus, hanging out with friends and taking pictures at the Old Well.
